BVN Verification
The BVN (Bank Verification Number) Verification feature provides seamless programmatic access to verify an individual's identity using their BVN and other basic information. The BVN is an 11-digit unique identification number issued to bank customers in Nigeria as part of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) biometric identification system.
This verification process allows you to cross-check and confirm details such as First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and BVN Verification Status. By validating a user’s BVN-linked information, this feature enhances security, reduces fraudulent activities, and ensures that users are who they claim to be.
The BVN Verification feature is designed for applications that require an extra layer of identity verification and can be used to authenticate customers during onboarding, transactions, or compliance checks. It helps businesses comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations by verifying key user details.
